65 years of successful painting

Born in 1914 in Havana, Cuba, Cundo Bermudez has devoted his life to the arts.
He is considered as one of the classic Cuban painters. His career as a visual artist started in 1937 after he left the University of Havana and went to Mexico.

To Bermudez, painting is the most important thing for me, “I enjoy painting as Mozart used to enjoy music,” he has said on several occasions. He adds that some people worry about research, philosophical postulates or universal chaos, but to him, more important than the atomic bomb is celebration of form and color.

Something he has demonstrated fully in his 65 years as a visual artist.
Rencently Cernuda Art presented an Homage to Cundo Bermudez where his work was the best exposure of his great talent.

His work is full of life, color and form, and so is he. He is without a doubt one of the best Cuban artists of all times.
