THE AUDACITY OF THE REVOLUCION AND ITS FIVE DECADAS OF DESTRUCCION

It’s being already five decades  that on July 26th, a revolutionary group directed by Fidel Castro, began what we could call the collapse of the Cuban nation.

Thos who called themselves heroes who ‘wanted to rescue the ideas and the example of Martí' with promises of “obtaining for Cuba its final and true independence”, those were who destroyed the Cuban economy, the dignity, and the future of the Cuban people… The attack to  Moncada, was a harmful military coup that was decisive in the lack of future of the captive island..

Because of that unfortunate upheaval, the Castro dynasty  together with their followers,  made a point in destroying the Cuban nation,  killing the initiative of their countrymen,  eradicating their  moral and patriotic values,  as well as the wealth of the soil, the working disposition of one of the most productive countries in the Caribbean, not to mention their assets and even liabilities… Because there is nothing of worth in the Pearl of the Antilles, as it was known in the world. And this group of bandits have being perpetuated in the country  plunging it in  total despair, with its highest level of poverty ever,  and very few sources of income.

From the 1st. of January of 1959 on, it was not very difficult for the Castro master brain to convince the envious members of his gang, those who wanted to enjoy the same  quality of life of those who had more than they did,  to make it  impossible for the wealthiest to .live in the country by taking away  either by usurpation or being harassed-to-seem-voluntarily, of everything they owned, forcing them into exile.

Always lead by the hand of the Commander in Chief, who was under the influence of the bloodthirsty  Ché Guevara, Cuba became a model to humanity because of the ‘achievements’ of a revolution that alphabetized  the illiterate; where  medicine was free for all, and where children went to school without  being charged…

The Cuban Revolution  started with the Moncada attack, and was followed by the Sierra Maestra guerrillas, later on by  a loud army that conquered Giron, and the October Crisis besides a group of  so-called revolutionaries who were armed to their teeth , willing to fight for their sovereignty, not to mention anybody’s sovereignty, which brought them to export their revolution throughout Latin America..

At this point in time, Cuba was a country who was willing to help in several internationalist  missions,  playing  important roles, instigating other countries to seek other alternatives that were not submissive to imperialism, as they usually called the United States,

From Alaska to the Patagonia, even in  the most hidden places of the world,  Cuban exiles who were forced to leave their country because they were against the communist system, each one of them coming from different straits of life and social levels, all with different professions, and even without any profession, have been able to demonstrate in five decades , that not only they were right when they said Castro was a communist, who immediately  became a dictator ruling a totalitarian government  which misgoverns the island, but Cuban exiles have also demonstrated their ability to make a decent life away from the monster, and survive beyond expectations. This is  because they are skilled and qualified in many fields, and they have a great to settle, as if they would had been home, this is what has made them successful.

These Cubans, those to whom militia called ‘worms’ from the very  beginning, later  went back to Cuba converted in  beautiful  butterflies,  with their wings full of love, money and goods to help relatives who still lived in the island. These Cuban exiles returned to Cuba during the ‘family reunification program’, bringing thousands of dollars to support the system.

This injection of dollars has definitely  kept the system functioning. With the abundant remittances that have represented  millions of dollars , they have helped Castro  to continue starving its people,  imprisoning anyone who might represent any type of threat to his state, creating a ‘law of danger', meaning that anyone who would be a threat in any way would go jail as political prisoners, as  thousands of Cubans have suffered. Castro is also responsible for aking the life of many more thousands, who in an effort to leaving the hell in which they have been raised, have  thrown  themselves to the seas in rafts, in order  to achieve the desired freedom they cannot enjoy in their own country.

Today , the world has seeing  the way Cuba’s  free medical care malfunctions, because medication to treat any illness is not available. Relatives get them  sent from different parts of the Cuban exile community,  because in Cuba there is not medications for treat not even a headache…

U.S. currency, the dollar, that thirteen years ago was cause of imprisonment, today has become ‘chavitos', and ‘chavitos’ buy the food they eat, which cannot be obtained with  Cuban currency, ‘peso’ , which needless to say, does not have value nowhere in the world, including Cuba.

Today we see that the ‘education for all’ is responsible for the creation of  ‘the new man', who although  might have a university diploma, obliges many professionals to work as cab drivers for the tourists who give them tips in dollars so that they can support their families, because their income as  professionals does not provide to cover for the most minimal needs they have. There are also those professionals who prefer  to get out in rafts even if they know the sharks will be awaiting. Their main concern is to get our of the evil-country that engendered them… communist Cuba.

Today  patriotic belief of the new men and women  is summarized in a few spies that Castro, in his eagerness to destroy even more the image of Cuban exiles, has managed to infiltrate in the United States, to be finally discovered and put in  jail… which is, no matter what they might think,  the end to all who attempt against democracy.

I found something on the internet that captured my attention,  a letter of congratulations last year’s July 26 anniversary, signed by the spies who are serving time in South Carolina: Antonio, Fernando, Gerardo, Ramón and René . I do not understand how they were able to get this letter out to the Cuban dictator from the Prison of Edgefield, Carolina Southern, United States . Part of this message reads: “We will never again be slaves of the capital, for which they dedicate their lives, an exercise of obsession to accumulate it.  Since The Demajagua, passing for Baire, the Moncada and the Sierra Maestra, our history has been a tribute to value of the detachment, of the equality of rights, of the dignity of each human being, of the ethical principles and  solidarity that is born out oflove.  We will never renounce to that world that we have built with love, founded with the sacrifices of the youths of the Moncada and with the generous blood of the guerrilla warfare of the Che forward  to whose immortal remainders gathers all people in gesture of celebration”….Wow! That is so incredible!

Somewhat ridiculous when it refers to accumulation of capital, considering their Commander in Chief,  is considered to be one of the richest leaders of states of the world according to an article published by Forbes Magazine, establishes Castro’s  net value as $550 million dollars.

Would somebody tell me, about what type of ethical principles are they talking about when they refer to “will never again be slaves of the capital, for which they dedicate their lives, an exercise of obsession to accumulate it?

I do not understand it because as we all have read about Castro’s fortune, there are some discrepancies between what the congratulations letter say and reality… which brings us back to Cuba’s  reality:  lots of rhetoric and few results.
